BACKGROUND

Born and brought up in New Delhi, India. Carol was fond of dancing from a very early age. The journey began when she saw dancers wearing 'Ghungroo'(Kathak bells) and spinning beautifully across the studio. She started her training in Kathak(Indian classical dance form) at the age of 5 and completed her senior diploma with First Division. Trained in Bollywood and Indian Folk dance, from 'NATRAJ KALA KENDRA'. She then got a scholarship to become the 'Probationer' followed by the position of 'Junior company member' in 'THE DANCEWORX', Delhi. In the Danceworx she was trained in Jazz, Jazz Funk, Modern, Ballet and Urban. In 2019, she graduated from PLYMOUTH CONSERVATOIRE with Bachelors(Hons) in Dance Theatre. In the BA she mostly studied Contemporary, African, Ballet, Somatics and Yoga. She did her Masters in Advanced Dance Practice from CHICHESTER UNIVERSITY, UK. Her modules include Artist as Producer, Body in Site, Pedagogy skills and New Media and Practices. Currently, she is pursuing Masters in psychology and is taking online dance classes on the behalf of TARANTISM A DANCE STUDIO her dance studio that she cofounded in 2017.
